WhatTheCast’s own Brian is a guest on Slice of SciFi #131: Voicemail Show and Slice of SciFi #132. Enjoy the madness.
Monthly Archive for October, 2007
Brian’s off in Arizona this week, and his travel schedule prevents a full episode recording … but he is scheduled to drop in on SliceOfScifi and Wingin’ It 3D, so try and catch him on those fine Farpoint Media podcasts. Brian also has to retract his past praise for NBC.com due to recent problems.

Brian, Stephen and Patrick attempt to navigate the the topical seas while Crispy is away at Pirate Fest. Patrick navigates the uncharted waters of Craig’s List looking for booth babes, Brian and Stephen watch The Bionic Woman without resorting to piracy on the BT Seas, and giant blue whales wash up on our shores in an attempt to remind us about the exploding whales from Episode 5.

Promos for PodCulture and The Babylon Podcast
Brian fix podcast. Download work now. PodPress upgrade make Brian angry. BRIAN SMASH!
Update @ 11:07AM EST - Okay, it works now. A PodPress update to try & support Podango broke stats logging support, which somehow broke downloads from our RSS feed. Sorry for the mess. Now where’s my error-reporting cricket bat …
Brian’s back from hiatus, bring Stephen and Crispy back for a video game heavy episode of WhatTheCast. The Atari 2600 turns 30 right as Halo 3 hits the markets … so Brian and Stephen get all nostalgic about interactive fiction (the kids call them “text adventures“).
Do time-traveling Australian pirates listen to this podcast? Can youngsters like Crispy relate to the Atari 2600 and Zork era of gaming? Was E.T. the first attempt at Myst? Can text messaging be combined with text adventures? Can modern beverage tie-ins work with classic video games? And will Stephen’s kids think he’s crazy when he talks about video games in black and white? Listen to Episode 17 and find out!
